A few weeks ago I (Kristin) had the privilege of flying to the place I was born to take some amazing photos for some great friends. I first met Kaitlin last year at the wedding of my dear friends Andrew and Elizabeth in Boston. I fell in love with her super sweet disposition. Read on to see what Kaitlin said about the shoot…

“Jeremy and I met our freshman year; we immediately had many things in common and our relationship developed into a beautiful love story. One of the things we have in common is our love of children’s animated films, particularly Pixar’s for their creative characters and clever stories. We saw ‘Up’ a summer we spent apart. The first 15 minutes, that sweet love story of Carl and Ellie, really moved us both- we knew that we wanted a love like theirs. As we discussed the details of our wedding during our 6 month engagement, we knew that Carl and Ellie’s romance would play a special part in the continuance of our own romance- we just didn’t know how special at the time.
“Almost 6 months into our marriage, I expressed a dissatisfaction with our wedding photos- they just weren’t as romantic as I had dreamed. So, I told the one woman whose wedding photography I admired most: Kristin Smetona. After listening to my story, she offered, “Well, if you fly me to Nashville, I’ll do a post-wedding shoot for you.” Needless to say, I was completely ecstatic and set up the details for Easter weekend. And that weekend was superb- Kristin was her amazing self & took phenomenal photos, the weather was gloriously perfect, and Latrice styled my dreams into reality. I now feel like we’re a true romantic couple, just like Carl and Ellie.”-Kaitlin
