We first stumbled upon Taylor and Ryan via the video that Ryan created when he proposed to Taylor. Grab a tissue and you can watch it here: Surprise Summer Camp Proposal. Now, I (Kristin) cry at almost every proposal because I’m a sap.
However, this one touched my heart in a special way because (even though we didn’t realize the significance at the time) Forest Home is not only where Taylor and Ryan met, but it is where Dustin and I met too! In fact this picture at Forest Home is actually the first one of us together…Kristin is in the middle in pink and Dustin is on the FAR left in brown.
Anyway, I realized that Taylor was actually a fellow CBU student and she seemed like such a sweetheart that I wished we could shoot their wedding. So, I got in touch with her…
When we met Taylor and Ryan, we were so glad to have met such awesome fellow believers! Laughs were had, marital advice given, and Tim Keller books lent to our new friends! We decided that we would all soon return to Forest Home for their engagement shoot.
It was somewhat surreal for us as we drove back onto the campground. It was the first time we had been back together since before we both started at Cal Baptist back in 2008. As we went about the shoot, the four of us spent time remembering and thanking the Lord for all He had done for us. Ryan even told us stories of when he would catcall at Taylor while she sat up in her lifeguard stand…just to watch her turn red! We love it!!!
Taylor and Ryan,
We had such a great time hanging out with you both! We love the life and joy that just flows out of you two and we feel like the photos really capture that. We are so glad to be your friends and we are thrilled to be your wedding photographers!!!! October will be here before you know it! We can’t wait to see all that the Lord continues to do through you both!
xoxo,
Kristin and Dustin

We just love this photo of Ryan on the left. To us it says, “I’m a man and I’m going to protect her.” Way to go, Ryan. Way to go!
It’s a human totem pole!
