Well it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for…photos from Ireland! When we first arrived in Dublin, we quickly met up with our bride-to-be, Grace. Her sheer joy and excitement to finally meet us warmed our hearts and we definitely knew that we were beginning the trip of a lifetime. And what a trip it was! First stop the engagement portraits!!!!

This was a marathon engagement shoot at 3 different locations on 3 different days over 5,000 miles from home in the land of Eire. :-D The three different places which you’ll see in this order are: 1) The National Botanic Gardens of Ireland, 2) The Westbury Hotel, and 3) The Powerscourt House and Gardens. Our first day in the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin, Dublin was a bit rainy. The locals, of course, did just fine and the photographers survived as well. The second day we popped off a few photos in the gorgeous Westbury Hotel in downtown Dublin where Paul proposed on New Year’s Eve.

On day three, Monday, we traveled out of the city center and went south into the county of Wicklow. It was a welcome breath of fresh air and we finally got a good look at the countryside we had been longing for. We pulled into Powerscourt and were thrilled beyond all belief to get to take pictures in such a gorgeous location. If you have scene the movie “The Count of Monte Cristo”, you might recognize the enormous estate that was used in the film. We spent a few hours wandering around and admiring the beauty around us. Our day ended with a little Irish dancing lesson on the lawn and a delicious lunch on the terrace, which was Kristin’s favorite part of the whole trip! It was the perfect day and we couldn’t have asked for better company!

We hope you enjoy these photos a ton and that they whet your appetite for the wedding photos which will follow soon.

Grace and Paul, thanks a million for bringing us out as your photographers and letting us leave as your friends! We treasure you both a ton and look forward to a long friendship. You and your family have blessed in more ways than you will ever know! See you in a year! ;-)

xoxo,
Kristin + Dustin
