It’s not often that we get to do sessions that are so near and dear to our hearts. In fact, it’s never happened before! You see…we are about to become an aunt and uncle to a very special little man! Andrea and Katrina (the mommy’s to-be) are sisters and both expecting new little additions to their family. Andrea’s husband, Ian, is Dustin’s older brother. They are the parents of little Quintus whom the whole Smetona family is eagerly anticipating!!!

With Katrina and her husband expecting their second, both of them and their little son, Wyatt, also made an appearance at the shoot. What a fun and special time for our families!

We are going to spoil little Q-Ball! We just hope you are fully prepared for all the fun and sugar we are going to make sure he has…before we hand him back to you of course. We are so proud of you both and we know you will be amazing parents! Quintus, we can’t wait to meet you! Now don’t go deciding to pop out while we are at a wedding!

We LOVE Sumeya and Thomas! Since shooting their engagement shoot and wedding (see photos here) last year, we have hoped to get to photograph them again. Our prayers were soon answered when Sumeya called us to schedule a maternity session because they were having TWINS!

It was great to see both of them! We took their photos at the University of California Botanical Gardens. Sumeya and Thomas wanted to show off a fun side by also going to a nearby playground for some shots. We love their spirit!

Since the session, Sumeya has delivered their two little bundles of joy. Be on the lookout for little Ali and Alina Pierce whom will be on the blog soon to make their debut!

Reality hit us this morning when we woke up to see the devastation in Japan. Cars, home, boats, trains and people were destroyed and washed away in the events of the earthquake and tsunami. Millions have lost everything and we want to help!

Jessica is one of those women that I think every other pregnant woman hates. She is stunning! I seriously could not get over how beautiful she is. Jessica is going to a bridesmaid for only of my July brides later this year and it was a joy to photographer her early. I just hope that I look that gorgeous one day if I ever have a child.

I knew that I would like Jessica from the moment I heard her voice on the phone. Spunky and perky. Just how I like my clients! At the shoot, her and her husband Danny were up for anything. And let me tell you, Danny is a trooper. He carried ice cream, pickles and a potted plant around and chauffeured two giggling gals. I’m so excited for the new addition to their family and the new friends I have made!
